17 more ideas to go

It’s late. I was asked by my wife when was the last time I made any money on the web. I said, two years ago when I was hired by a website… She said that didn’t count. How does it not count? I mean, I do make money working on their website? Well, she meant when was the last time one of the websites I created made money. Technically, SmarterWay, Inc. makes money, but I don’t see a penny of it. But besides that site, none of my other sites make money and I have a lot of sites.
And lets list these sites out.
1. zeusdidit.com
2. blog.zeusdidit.com
3. makeupbycelso.com
4. spanish.makeupbycelso.com
5. iloveplums.com
6. almacentral.com
7. spitzine.com
8. spitzine.tv
9. bertevans.com (technically doesn’t belong to me but I host it)
10. kuddlykritters.com
Originally I had ideas on making money on these sites. It was a simple plan as well. 1. Pick a site. 2. Write 3. Hope some fool clicks my Google adsense. This doesn’t work or else this site would make some money. The next idea was to write about LinkShare related products. This is kind of like becoming a salesperson and earning commission on a product. But I have yet to write or promote any product. I even thought about writing regarding music I like and then link to the itunes site in hopes of selling some band’s mp3. But I never really found any band I liked enough to write about and figured there’s like two million sites like this anyways so it’s a waste of my time. Then of course there was the idea that my comics may sell. Alas, you need time to actually produce something then I have to try and sell it.
My wife did have one simple plan this year. Work as hard as we can all year long. So in order to figure out how to make money on at least one of my sites I’ve decided to take a different approach -find something I like and other people like that will generate their own leads, produce sales and possible sponsorship.
