Zeus did it.

I haven’t really messed around with my tablet, the wacom pen and photoshop much so I started whipping up this piece. My style is a bit different from everyone elses but that’s not always a bad thing ;)

If you have to think about it then you’re probably stuck. See Zeus was stuck too. His father wanted to kill him, his brother and his sisters. Rhea was kind enough to send him and everyone off to different places to hide. Then one day comes back and says, “Hey. I’m not taking this anymore.” and stands up to him. But really, how did this help people? I mean besides giving them Thunder…? And rain? And fire… Oh wait, no we punished that idiot right? Did he also give the people hope mayyybe..? That even against better odds and even if it’s your own family that’s putting you down you can go one on one, toe to toe against, well, anything really. And here’s another thing he gave people -other demi gods to help you guys out since ya’ll were stupid. Heck, still are. Aphrodite constantly had to chill Zeus out and you know this pissed off Hera over and over again and still does. But the biggest thing he did, besides grant them weather, wisdom (which they rarely use to this day) he also gave them a legend that will always be read. Every time you say the word Zeus, he lives on heckling you and sometimes really wondering if it’s due time for your destruction. Especially if you question what he did. You’re supposed to work buddy. That’s your job. That and give up your women, but mostly work. Oh and worship. And I mean you don’t have too, but listen, do you really want to piss someone off that handles thunderbolts? I suggest not. And with this fear others had about him some people, let’s call them ‘politicians’ got into power. Just like bullies do. You know when a bully says you should pay him or do something blah blah blah or else. Sometimes the little geeky ones are just afraid, and start running off only to get bashed. Then they realize they need to stand up and face their greatest adversaries -themselves or hide forever, be weak forever, blah blah blah. Everyone has a weakness, even Achilles. Zeus with all his omnipotence had a weakness too. Human women that delivered his many, many demigods and still to this day do. You should be lucky he’s busy with other stuff and has kept Aphrodite to keep watch while he ensues with Hera. Ahem. Oh and by the way, the King of Gods can make other gods as well as humans and other things. Remember that just so you can put things into a different perspective. Zeus wasn’t all bad, but then again, who really is. And what did Zeus do for the people? In my opinion he f***** the crap out of them. Sad I know. But then again, that’s what the ‘other’ immortals were around for -to help them.

Take note, this is my first time coloring and drawing using Photoshop and the Wacom pen. Not as easy as I imagined…
