Hi Hilary.

I posted this on Hilary Clinton’s website where they ask users to submit their ideas. I wrote in of course and this will be my post to her:

Hilary,
What are you going to do with all the money you receive from supporters since, a. personally you do not need it for exposure or marketing, b. with most of the users online you can build your own campaign from anywhere?

You see, the videos on youtube.com, google.com or any other .com will be picked up and broadcast. CBS, NBC, etc. will broadcast videos making them viral regardless of whether you want them to or not. Paying for marketing in this day and age, especially in your case is silly. Everyone wants to know about how you will win. Instead of using your support money to pay for expenses, start pushing the envelope now. Use the money from advertising to promote the changes you believe are needed by donating them back to the community. You can interview via the web from anywhere. I understand you have to go to debates and meet with community leaders. These expenses are expected.

But when producing your marketing remember, it will be broadcast. There isn’t a need to pay for television, news, or print advertising. Find more creative ways to get the word out there.

My suggestions:
a. Use a digital camera to post your views online and have live interviews.
b. Notify news sites with this information. They will broadcast.
c. Use photo, video and textual blogs and forums to handle your campaign.
