How to speed up your iPhone quickly

Deleting old messages, call history, and web surfing history from my iphone 3G sped it up almost 3 times faster. I mean, why does anyone need to keep their chat history?! Also, get rid of the stupid applications you don’t need like “lightsaber”. No one is impressed by that except for the 3 year old that’s about to kick you after he breaks your phone.
