Advanced Photoshop Shortcut ·

Jan 11, 2007

This is an Adobe Photoshop CS2 keyboard shortcut for pushing layers back without having to drag layers, layer-by-layer. This gives the ability to view what is behind layers or move them up.

Directions:

1. Press F7 To pull up the Photoshop Layers panel
2. Select the layer(s) you want moved.
3. Press on the CTRL- { to push layers down.
4. Press on the CTRL – } to push layers up.

To push selected layers to the front or back use CTRL – Shift { or CTRL – Shift }

Now go push some layers.

One note, if you select items in Adobe Illustrator you can use this method to move items as well.
