Photoshop User Interface Layout Example ·
Aug 20, 2009
When using my folders in Photoshop I use the naming convention
F: for folders
ui: in my layer names to signify they are guide layers. I also add to the name information such as height and widths to easily remember when getting ready to produce CSS. In this example I use ui: bg nav h:45px. That’s a shortcut to me for, “This is a UI background for the navigation that’s 45px high.
I also use the following for objects or elements on the screen.
L: for logos
T: for textfields if any are used. This way when I drill through using the mouses Right-Click button I can easily identify where and what the layer is.
