Oct 18, 2009the question was, “How would you improve your Electronics experience at Target?” Please be as specific as possible”.
i think it would be cool to give the user an internet connection to see how target prices compare or just to research items target has. for instance, if i’m in electronics, i’d like to reach the target electronics home page for the particular store i am at, or the particular department i am at. so if i was at the camera department, there would be an lcd with all the cameras that target has available so i can research the product more thoroughly. same with tvs. if you could set up an lcd, even a touch screen one with information regarding the tvs at the specific target i am at, then i can see how they compare.
this would be a simplified approach to the online target store where users can see all the products in one shot where the user can sort by price or quality or make comments on items in the store too. the list would have all the tvs and the screen would scroll from left to right with all the tvs specifications starting with price, ratings, contrast and other details. Then you would have a button that says, “i own this TV”. when this is clicked the users is asked to enter their email and create an account in the store. this doubles as a capture device and instead of people leaving comments if they dont want to, they can just stipulate they own one of the tvs to offer users an additional method of comparison of how many people have bought and kept it.
